•FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE:Ask first
•BACKTAGGING: Yup!
•AVOIDED TOPICS: N/A
•PREFERRED GENDER PRONOUN: ey/em but idc
IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•CURRENT CANON POINT: End of S2, after he gets eaten
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Mahito at first glance looks like a tall, strong human teenager, but weird. Second glance, and you're going to notice the patchwork all over his skin, raised scars and stitches over every exposed bit of skin. His long (gray?) hair is arranged meticulously in a fashion that makes no sense at all, hanging free and inconvenient some places, bound up in three asymmetrical ponytails in others. His clothes are weird tatters, a sort of shredded tunic over tight pants, bare feet. He looks like a monster who'd never seen a human who wasn't about to be eaten tried to draw one from memory. He has wild spiritual energies for anyone who's sensitive to that sort of thing, and to animal senses he doesn't quite seem to be alive.
•DEMEANOR: Mahito is always! on! the! move! He can only sit still when he's involved in something. He runs in circles and spins and dances and clambers his way around. He's usually grinning and often giggling, and strangely enough, it's mostly sincere, though he's playing a little extra innocent and clueless on the barge. •ABILITIES: In his current barge state, Mahito is stronger, faster, and more fit than a normal human, but that's about it. If damaged, he does bleed, though he thinks pain is funny, but physically harming him doesn't really hurt him the way it would a person. It's more like hitting a piece of furniture with a baseball bat. It will eventually cease to be a chair, but it's hard to say when, and is that an injury, exactly? His magical abilities are all repressed, though he does have the ability to see souls, detailed below.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: Mahito isn't really... real? He does, without his shapeshifting, look like a person, but if you cut bits off he'll just cackle about it. He can't heal as he currently is, since he normally does it by just shifting back to himself before he got hurt. Only damage that directly effects the soul will actually bother him, which isn't exactly the infirmary's problem.
•CABIN INFORMATION: Mahito's cabin appears to be a brick sewer access tunnel with random trash and a tattered hammock inside.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: If you want to start a fight, try saying any shonen action hero thing, like that life has value or humans are good. But he'll giggle while he fights you about it.
IC PERMISSIONS:
•MENTAL: He'll probably have some resistance. Case by case basis.
•MIMICRY: Please do, he'll think it's amazing and criticize your performance.
•VIOLENCE: Extremely easily, though he'll try to go "easy" on the barge
•MAGIC: Can he watch and see how wild it gets?
•DEBATE: He's not much of a debater. Will probably lose interest half an argument in and start singing little songs.
•OTHER / NOTES: Mahito comes with a lot of weird, gross body horror. Opting out is welcome. In addition:
•SOUL SIGHT: Mahito sees the shape of souls the same way he sees physical characteristics. Functionally, it's a very mild form of empathy. He might just get a vague emotional read on a character or at most a warning about an impulsive action, not mind reading. If a person has a ton of magical ability he may also be able to pick this up. Feel free to opt out!
